Sounds right. After 9 hrs it should be charged if it's flat tomorrow you have either a dead battery or a drain.

How do you establish whether you have a drain, and where would you get that diagnosed?

I have been suffering with a faulty reversing sensor, then the couple of days before my flat battery the reversing sensors completely stopped, the reverse button wouldn't light up at all. Then it started working again, then stopped. Was working when I parked up yesterday at work? Could that be a possible battery drain area? 2006 HSE for Sale - £7,499 (Manchester)

Car has been charging since 8am now (9hrs)

I did try starting the car at dinner (even though the charger didn't say it was charged!) so I presume that really the charge started after this as I used what was in the battery?

Feels like daft question day today! 2006 HSE for Sale - £7,499 (Manchester)

You will need someone who knows more than I do to answer that question. If she starts in the morning you are probably Ok. If not you will need someone to delve deeper.

For later vehicles, yes, but on the earlier TDV6 this doesn't apply. Smile Thumbs Up Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

But check the fluid levels first and use only DISTILLED WATER.

Just tried to start the car and the dash lit up like a Christmas Tree. Everything binged and bonged, with lights flickering and a whole host of warnings flashing up in-front of me.

I didnt know about not earthing on the - of the battery until you told me, so have I Censored the voltage monitoring system now as well....??

Had a search on the forum and a lot seems to be pointing to a duff battery? I have had the "HDC" fault on the screen for the last few months, and im sure ive read somewhere that it can be caused by a struggling battery?

So glad its a bank holiday weekend.... Need a battery fast. Anyone got any recommendations? 2006 HSE for Sale - £7,499 (Manchester)

I have one myself on it's way. Typical that I ended up needing it on Thursday night so it won't arrive until tomorrow. If it weren't for Easter, they're very quick. Smile

Don't give me any credit for it; it's simply been well established on the D3 forum as the best choice. Thumbs Up Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

Woohooooo!!!

New Battery arrived today, swapped over, all is GOOD!! Yeay!!

Been having to drive the Mrs Yaris for the last few days.... so glad to be back in the RRS! Phew!! lol.....

And the benefit of the new battery is that the HDC warning has gone, which is an indictaion of a poor battery, so im well chuffed!! Just wish id changed it earlier! 2006 HSE for Sale - £7,499 (Manchester)
