Interesting Thanks for that, I've always been from the ' car came with it ' mindset, and never had any issues ..not sure what difference spacers would make other than improving cornering and stability.. Not fussed on the extra cleaning ... when you have John round the corner RRS S/C, Factory Fitted Full HST kit, 22" Overfinch SS, Carbon Vents & Grill .. - FOR SALE - PM me for details 997 GT3 - X6 35d |

I've just ordered 6mm spacers to allow wider tyres (285/55R20s), however, I'm not sure these will fit due to the hubcentric fitting of the OEM RRS rims as the cone on the hub may not locate in the rim due to the bevelling on it.

Im not convinced they are needed mate i quite like the overall stance of the RRS, i reckon it could look a tad silly when in normal driving height etc |

Spacers are a poor engineering bodge - why not do it right and get wider wheels or wheels with a different offset?

pm'd you darren but as already said, you would need hubcentric ones also the other problem that you have is that the Sport uses wheel nuts and not bolts so by spacing the wheels you will shorten the amount of thread you have left for the nut to screw on to.

Cheers Martin, not seen your PM yet.. would always use hubcentric anyway, the KW ones i used on my CSL and a high end german manufacturer for all the others I used longer bolts and lockers to ensure I had the correct thread. Did 3+ years ( 3 trips a year to the ring ) with approx 40/50 laps per weekend, plus heavy track work throughout my race season, as I used my road car before practice / test day to get to grips with the circuit .. so it was used hard both road and track running spacers throughout its 4/5 years of ownership with no issues whatsoever .. so not sure why people are so concerned with using them on this forum, especially as hardly anyone has actually used them.. hence the Q originally as new to RRS tuning and tweaking Will see what options you can throw at me with a lower offset wheels !!
