It's an interesting conundrum. If there is a full set of paperwork showing that things have been attended to throughout its life then it might actually be a good buy. I'd have thought that if the turbos, for example, were going to go pop then they'd have done so by now - they seem to go well before 100k miles from what we've seen in our various vehicles. If it has spent its days doing 100 mile trips each way up and down a motorway then the mileage isn't that scary really.

Think of the re sale value after you've owned it. Who'd buy a car from you with more than 200k?

Resale value won't be great, true, but the most he can lose is the sticker price. I've lost that much in depreciation in the 3.5 years I've owned mine. A £10k RRS is probably worth £10k in bits if broken up and sold... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
