I had a plan to configure my new RRS2 for my 50th ( 3 years time ) a couple of weeks in the Sun followed by a trip to the dealers to pick up my present to myself - this may be a bridge too far - best I could hope for is a very well specced second hand vehicle - who knows maybe the 16MY will have Facelifted rear bumpers Whistle 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

Hope they do something radical with the rear
I've got a couple of years before I'd consider changing but if RRS2 looks like it does now then I will be looking for something else.....and the price seems to have fattened up mahoosively for not enough improvement

I know I am risking the same old debate here but I have test driven one back in late 2013/early 2014 and didn't find it as revolutionary as it was made out to be TBH. Obviously not comparing to the MY09 I had at the time (even MY10 was a huge improvement over that one) but to MY12+ RRS1 which I had also driven but not owned back then.

Mind you it was a plain HSE RRS2, not Dynamic so may be HSE Dynamic/Autobiography Dynamic is a totally transformed drive but can't comment on that without experience. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top
Gone: MY16 RRS2 3.0 SDV6 Autobiography Dynamic, Carpathian Grey & Santorini Black Sliding Pano/Ebony & Ivory 2 Tone
Gone: MY13 RRS 3.0 SDV6 HSE Black Edition, Orkney Grey/Ivory

England 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Zermatt Silver

Have seen quite a few about... in various colours. White with the black roof seems to fave down here.

Front looks a bit squished and the rear looks odd with horizontal tail lights and the humongus bumper (JMO). The LED running lights are a bit too 'blingy' for my liking. Overall - not impressed.

As for the Evoque - despite Victoria Beckhams' part in it - I find pig ugly !!

Yep haven't driven it and not likely to if the slapped arse look isn't improved.
There are loads of vehicles that will get me from a to b....if I'm spending £70k or more then it damn well better look good.
The current rrs does but it's not immortal so when it's time for a change then Looks plus cost are definitely a factor

Well heres my two together and i think the new RRS2 makes the RRS1 look very dated although i loved evey minute of ownership and never had any problems with the RRS1 the new car is a much nicer place to be and there is a big leap forward in the driving experience when you try one then the other so to me the new car is on a different level Thumbs Up

I think a lot of people will look at the latest Discovery Sport in preference to the RR Sport, basically its a BIG cost saving. In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

I don't find the rear at all an issue. I do think that the apparently smaller boot space is a bit poor considering what they appear to have managed with the Disco Sport's packaging. The worst thing about the RRS2 is the stupid plastic bonnet not-vents. They do nothing other than look like something a 12 year old would put on it.

I'd be more inclined to go for the proper Range Rover rather than the Sport. You get more space, a more comfortable ride and it still handles well enough for the big 4x4 that it is. Off road it's sublime.

One thing I've found is that I drive the RRS much more sedately than I would drive something sporty. I still have the grunt to overtake if I wish, thanks to the TDV8, but I find the experience more enjoyable if driven at no more than 7/10ths rather than flat out. These things aren't sports cars, no matter how LR try to market them. If I want to drive like a teenager then I'll go buy a small hot hatchback and drive it like I stole it. And it'll be much more fun than any fast 4x4 could ever be driven hard. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

^^^ agreed Thumbs Up IMO all because the undershield (I am assuming that's what it is) is dark and not very obvious. I think the red badge means it's a Dynamic too so must drive better than what I tried. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top
