2005 2.7 TDV6 wont start

Hi All

Drove fine last night. Took to local shops and back at 5pm , all fine. This morning wont start .

Fairly cold here last night - 3/4 c. Heater plug symbol on dash lights and goes off after a few seconds but engine wont start. Engine turning over well and 1/2 tank of fuel.

Any idea,s ?

Thanks

Cheers
Keith

Check for fuel at the bleed point at the back of the engine bay. If there is a good flow if fuel there, it could be glow plug related

Where abouts at the rear of the engine bay is the bleed point?

Right in the middle of the "V", just behind the rear of the engine cover. Should have a grey plastic screw on cap

Signs of a weak battery, or non-functioning glow plugs...

Low voltage definitely won't be helping. It spins over much slower with a discharged battery, and so doesn't build as much temperature inside the cylinders for combustion Thumbs Up
