It's the same warning light for front and rear, so check the rears, it's also worth checking your fluid level. 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current

so had a look at the rear pads today they are like new, so now a little stumped to why the 'check brake pads' alert comes on now and again, does that mean because the front pads warning touched you have to change the sensor wire too! About to get into a sport |

If the sensor has worn down until the light has come on, it will need replaced.

The connection must be broken, so you need a new sensor, or you can chop it and short the wires as a temporary measure to put the light out. Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

No, it works the other way round. The circuit is normally closed and, when the sensor wears through, it's broken. Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

Just to let everyone know I put in new rear pads today. It was the sensor wire that was broken.
