Clock dash radio controls and seats stopped working

Driving home this evening I noticed that the radio volume control on the dash was not working. Then I noticed that none of the control buttons (audio, home, sat nav, phone were working. Everything operated fine from the touch screen or steering wheel controls. It seems the analogue clock also stopped. But no alerts or warnings. Big Cry
When I got Home I plugged in the iidtool which showed me 8 faults including issues with centre dash controls (could not connect to controller) but also driver and passenger seat controls which when I tested did not work either. My first thought was this must be something serious as surely all of these items were not on the same circuit. On checking however it seems the control unit for all of these is common and fuse 40 (5amp) is a common component. Checked the fuse and sure enough it was blown. Replaced it and cleared faults. all now working perfectly.

Has anyone else had this type of issue and are these 5amp fuses prone to blowing occasionally. or is it likely something is wrong with the controller and I can expect the fuse to keep blowing until it's sorted? -----------------------------------------------
