Dash board like a Christmas tree help?

I just had a call from the missis who's out in the car just now, she told me heaps of warning lights have appeared on the dash such as ABS, Headlight direction, traction control symbol and a parking brake warning too? Just wondering if any of you guys could shed some light on this - how can all these thing come up at the same time? I've read about a bad battery sometimes causing these issues? She's just texted me a picture as attached.
Cheers

Hi mate, read your post a few minutes back. Whilst looking for a completely different issue (brake light switch how to), I noticed someone replying to that they had a Christmas tree issue related to that. Apparently a £15 fix.

Thanks again for the help James fitted the new switch and all is well no more lights and everything working, I ended up ordering a genuine part £22 off ebay Im sure the others on offer will be fine as well. Also I had a look inside the old switch and sure enough signs of arcing inside as photo attached.
Many thanks again Thumbs Up

Strangely the lights returned today during normal driving? same symptoms as before however they have gone off again, any ideas what might cause the lights to come on and go off intermittently? also found out there is a second brake light switch for the cruise control any ideas where that is? cheers

Sounds like a weak battery, if not then has to be the alternator.
Carry out a voltage check on both just to be sure.

Halfords and other garages do free battery checks, maybe worth a try popping down and getting it checked.

It's usually the cruise control switch which causes the HDC fault light to come on. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈

Cheers again for the replys, so where is the cruise switch? Is it on the steering wheel its self? I did notice the cruise didn't work a couple of times coming up from Glasgow a couple of weeks back

The cruise switch is in the brake pedal switch. The switch has two operations- the initial movement disengages the cruise, then the switch illuminates the brake lights. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
