EGR Blanking

Had the EGR'S blanked on Tuesday because one of them was goosed.

My garage always lets you see what bits they remove/replace.

Got in my car to find these goodies! I think its where the egr gets blanked... Look at the crud build up!! If this doesn't make you want to blank them, nothing will!!!

Ive not had EGR blanked, Terraclean, and re-map, and Betsy is a pleasure to drive!!!

Its not the valve, isnt it the pipe that leads into it (where you put the blanking plate?) 2006 HSE for Sale - £7,499 (Manchester)

Spain

There the stub pipes from the inlet end, and do NOT throw them away. (nor any of the EGT pipes) as you may well need these come MOT time as may need to reinstall the pipework so that your car looks un-modified.

You did remove the throttle butterfly ????
This is important as the when the butterfly closes it would normally suck from the EGR's, if there blanked you will create a pretty big vacuum, remember the engine inlet system is not designed for this, if you managed to pull oil over then you would have an engine run-a-way, not good on an auto. In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.

The original pipes are still there, my garage have blanked off at both ends, and then put the pipes back so it looks unmodified. They will also be doing the cars MOT, so that part is fine.

I got them to remove the butterfly valve as advised, so hopefully everything is now running well! 2006 HSE for Sale - £7,499 (Manchester)
