Had the EGR'S blanked on Tuesday because one of them was goosed.

Its not the valve, isnt it the pipe that leads into it (where you put the blanking plate?) 2006 HSE for Sale - £7,499 (Manchester)

There the stub pipes from the inlet end, and do NOT throw them away. (nor any of the EGT pipes) as you may well need these come MOT time as may need to reinstall the pipework so that your car looks un-modified.

The original pipes are still there, my garage have blanked off at both ends, and then put the pipes back so it looks unmodified. They will also be doing the cars MOT, so that part is fine.
