2010 Sport Steering column locked & vehicle wont start.

Hi, my 2010 sport is stuck in the yard. It will not start & is showing steering column locked on the dash. Any ideas guys ?

probably battery going flat on your key

hold your key under the steering cowling plastic covers see if it picks up the signal

All new batterys fitted in both keys. Still no better.

do you get an error message saying key out of range or not found etc ?

The only message showing is steering column locked.

may be an idea to see if any fault codes are showing and do a "hard reset"

Ref steering wheel

Try moving steering wheel slightly side to side while pressing the start button ,sometimes the steering wheel is to tight and the steering lock jams .

Needed a new instrument pack to cure the problem. Known fault with a L/R bulletin to go with it apparently ! !

£450 for the intrument pack & 2hrs labour cost at the dealer plus vat.
