Check calipers first as you may have a seized one that causing the heat.

I did have a seized caliper bottom pin when I checked them before but I think the discs are just shagged!!

If the caliper pin is stuck, then you can give them a real good clean and as long as they are not pitted, should be fine with some hi temp silicon grease. DON'T use copper grease on the calliper pins as they get sticky and will cause you a bigger problem.

just for info, I went with LR genuine disks and pads and have used aftermarket pads on genuine disks with no problem. my personal experience is that the aftermarket disks aren't as good as the LR disks. Whether that is perception or a technical reality, but I found the LR disks more stable when 'heavy braking' Bodsys Brake Bible

Bodsy just read your brake bible and I never bedded my rear discs in like you say with the parking brake is that a problem?

no, I doubt that's the problem. It shouldn't affect the wobbling. Have you taken the disks back off, wire brushed all the contact points on the hub, then replaced it all? Bodsys Brake Bible

Yes done all that, the weird thing is on my way home from London today I got the hdc fault code thrown up with the various orange suspension light, traction light and handbrake light under the temp gauge, I haven't had time to pull off and reset with key, but very weirdly the car is braking fine with no steering wobble and honestly the brakes feel the best they have ever been

Bodsy can't seem to find the v8 upgrade on advanced factors found the brembo discs and pads at £145 which look a good price |
