Stupid really but when I take the compressor off for the refurb does the car have to be in access mode to stop it dropping down suddenly when I disconnect the hoses or car I have it raised up in full 4x4 mode? I'm guessing access.

IF you can get the bolts off, then def recommend the full kit. You will be able to change the piston seal and carbon ring without too much difficulty. Problem is with the exhaust spring and rubber plunger, the bolt can become corroded to the case.

Ah hold on, that's a different kit. It fixes the popular crack in the air dryer unit (LR have stopped supplying the dryer on its own for £70 and have superseded the part with the new compressor at £500!!!)

No can do Im afraid. It means leaving Mrs Dan and the baby without a car for several days. I need to plan around doing it over the weekend.

Presumably Mrs Dan wouldn't be able to use the car whilst the pump was away? |

For a few quid you could hire a Fiesta or other small motor to keep the family mobile then you'd buy yourself time to do what's best ! |
