If you re-watch the Sound of SVR Goodwood film, you'll see the same amount of squat. Its a lot of metal undergoing an awful lot of force to get it off the line to a 4.7 (0-100kmh) but equally if you watch at around 1.06 you'll see there's not a huge amount of pitch hard on the brakes into Molecomb

What a tremendous proposition, there simply isn't anything like it on the market. These will sell like hot cakes if the the regular supercharged offering is anything to go by.

Currently, ceramic brakes are not an option and if they were would be extremely expensive.

I think the larger brake discs and multi-pot Brembo calipers are all that is needed. Carbon ceramics come into their own when there is heavy and repeated braking for example on track which, in spite of the demo videos, is not where the SVR is going to end up. Mark

I doubt LR would put ceramic brakes on a vehicle that, in marketing terms at least, is sold as a vehicle that is at home off road and on road. Ceramics would probably be bad news off road. Yes, I know it won't go off road, but LR market it that way so they have to engineer it that way. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

I assume you mean by "I know it won't go off road", you're referring to the customers not taking it, rather than it not being able to do it?
The brakes on SVR have a few differences to increase performance over the SCV8, so I doubt you'll be disappointed. As a note, BMW don't offer CCBs on the X5M so I doubt its a deal breaker for an SUV customer.

I most certainly will be taking my car off road just as I have my Evoque and I'm looking forward to the extra ground clearance it offers. I drive on tracks and lanes in the countryside not for pleasure but to get where I want to go and they are sometimes signposted "unsuitable for motors" or some such. No problem for the Evoque, still less for the RRS.

It's difficult to imagine a car which will provide a greater spectrum of capabilities than the SVR. Can't wait. Mark

So now you can get a better idea of the 21s up close compared to most of the PR shots of the 22s.

Those 21 inchers look fine to me with the handsome blue callipers behind them. Some of the pictures are a bit over-exposed so the rather plain looking rump is down to that.

That interior looks very white - is that Cirrus over-exposed or is it really that close to white? Think the carbon fibre trim would add much needed contrast and the rear loadspace needs the stainless threshold option. Like the carbon fibre engine cover... Mark

Yes, those photos are over exposed and make the Cirrus look white, but I think it is lighter than it looks in some of the SVR launch photos. A trawl of tinter web reveals:
