Air Filter turned up yesterday. I fitted it myself last night very easy to do just six screws to loosen and lift and remove old filter and replace new.
I was suprised how dirty the original filter was but I have driven on quite a few dusty sites before winter started to set in. Which does prompt me to think i will service the car in our workshops before the stated 15,000 miles or 1 year as per landrover instructions. Its out there somewhere. Second V10 Treg on the drive at the moment.

I have just had an email reply from ITG - details below :-

http://www.itgairfilters.com/

Hi Martin,

Sorry for the slow response, I’ve been working on various projects over the last few weeks and have only just started working through the backlog of e-mails – you were actually 5 e-mails away from a response when this enquiry came through.

We do have a panel filter available for the new Range Rover Sport, our HMP-372, these are available at a cost of £39.00 + vat and can be bought direct from ourselves (we’re based in Coventry).

We don’t actually make any claims for increased performance from our panel filters as the gains usually found can be quite small, however most of our customers report that the engine seems to run more freely and I have noticed (in my Nissan Primera) a slight increase in low down torque as well as being able to rev the engine a little harder without it feeling strangled. Another point raised by customers is that they generally see an extra 1-2 miles per gallon using our filters, the Primera generally does an extra 30 miles or so per tank full when doing longer journeys but I haven’t really noticed much difference around town.

Another advantage with our filters is the way they trap and hold the dirt, paper filters only hold dirt on the surface of the filter, this means that after a short while the airflow will start to decrease quite rapidly. Foam filters on the other hand trap dirt using the depth of the filter and can therefore hold a lot more dirt without losing airflow; this means you will not get the same drop off in performance between services that you would normally find with a paper filter.

If you would like to purchase a filter please contact me on the number below and I will be more than happy to help you out.

Best regards,

Andy Jackson

Biggles, how is the filter running in your TDV6??
Interested in buying one of these for mine, but would be interested to hear of what difference (if any) it makes to the running of the TDV6 engine..

Thanks

MDP....what's the hhhhmmm for?

Do I detect doubt in your comment?

We have been working on a 'chip' solution for both LR and Jaguar Supercharged for over a year now....I can already 'flash' original tunes into Jaguar DENSO ecu's and we are doing the same with LR next week.

Once we can work out the checksum issue with the processor in the ecu we will be sorted.

TC,

If you can give any indication of what improvements or changes it is likely to make that would be helpful.

We anticipate ann extra 15 bhp on the normally aspirated car and hopefully 30 + bhp on the Supercharged.

I'll keep you all posted Wink
