While visiting my local LR dealer today to order some parts, I spotted a SC in Zambezi silver in their showroom, with additional paintwork on all black / gray plastic trims - grilles and handles included - to match the body color. I did not think I would like this as I always thought the contrast of the lower body panels with the paint was perfect and suited this car's youthful character, but now that I have seen it in person... Trust me, it looks a lot better than in pictures.

I previously posted pics of a silver Superchjarged that was at Guy Salmon in Coventry, I thought there was a bit too much silver though, and like to see some black on the car. I don't like the door plastic in body colour at all.

I don't like the painted rear pillars, it takes away the unique and cool "floating roof" effect and makes the car look somewhat butt-heavy. |

The mesh grille looks awfull & i'm not that keen on too much colour coding, it looks overdone. The pillars in my opinion look bestl left standard.

Interesting, From the begaining, I thought that the only think I'd modify would be the gril. I would like to get rid of the cheap looking "Norelco razer" grill and put in a mesh grill like my dad's Super V8 Jag. I thought that would be the way to go, but looking at the pictures of their mesh grill, I will save my $1,500 for something else and not the grill. They want that much for just a grill!! that price is for the Range Rover, but I would image it's about the same for the Sport RRS S/C Special Edition, Vesuvius |

The more pics like that I see the more I think that the Sport actually looks better with the highlighted body parts such as the side grilles, the door bottom skirts and front/rear pillars.

The local dealer had 2 "his and hers" matching coloured coded RRS Supercharged in recently and I saw them and thought.................. yuk, not nice! I believe the "hers" car is up forsale as Mrs doesn't like it either.

I bet when they do the 'face lift' in 18months time, that you will start to see some of the more popular body coloured parts appear as standard.
