I have purchased a very low mileage RRS 3.0 L Diesel and I am told that that the DPF is probably going to need replacement as the vehicle has made lots of short journeys. Any intel on this??
Service has been carried out according to factory spec.

Give it a good long motorway trip - the car will tell you if it needs the DPF regenerating until then forget it..

There's a lot of scaremongering with regards to DPF's - personally never had any problems and my average trips are relatively short 15 mile round trips with occasional 100-200 mile motorway use - once or perhaps twice per month

Put a bottle of Forte DPF cleaner in full tank of fuel and give it a good blast. Should sort out the DPF. 2014 L405 SDV8 RR Autobiography
