I travel alot with my two dogs and am looking at putting some cooling in the boot area for them. My first initial thought is to rig up a fan to the 12v socket in the boot - does anyone have any ideas?

I travel with my dog in the boot and do wonder if the air-con really cools the boot area.

Not checked the temperature, but no cool air will directly cool the boot as the back seats are in the way

Cool air will sink to the lowest point (Around your feet). So you would have to force the air over the top of the rear seats for it to cool the boot space.

Ideally without modifying the cars system, you should be able to blow the air through the face vents, and point them up and over towards the rear head restraints.

Only way to be sure would be to sure it's getting cooled would be to put a thermometer in the boot space before you cool the cars interior. Take temperature before and around 15 minutes after the air con has been working.

Ok, I have just checked the car and after 15 minutes the temperature was the same in the boot as the front of the car.

I had the rear air vents pointing straight up and that cold air seems to hit the car roof just above the rear seat headrests and is deflected down.

I normally travel with the headrests down and no one in the rear seats, just 2 upfront and the dog in the boot. 2023 P440e SE Dynamic on order -cancelled
