The early models had filament bulbs, which drew 21W from the circuit when the indicators are switched on.

Mikey, can you help, I bought these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261458919405?ssP...1423.l2649 and they don't appear to be the correct ones, the light flashes ok but the indicator on the dashes still flashes fast. Can you supply a correct one with some wire soldered on either side? |

How have you connected them into the circuit, in series or in parallel?

Thanks Mikey I have clamped them onto the wires but wasn't aware that there was a correct way round for the resistor, are they the correct rating at 50 watt 6 ohm ? |

The resistor can be either way round, it doesn't matter.

It is loading because it gets hot when you put the indicators on...is it the right size resistor ? |

But if the resistor is not connected into the circuit correctly, it will get hot, and appear to be working OK, but doing nothing...
