No worries mate. Is yours fine in the Summer months?

Do you have the same symptoms as mine?

Just an update

I cleaned the maf sensor the other day with some electrical cleaner and so far so good.

Starts as normal with no stall after startup

Hopefully this has resolved the problem!

I am afraid to say that the problem has reoccurred. Was starting for ok for about 5 days now it's back to starting then immediately stalling after. Resulting in a hard start with lots of cranking.

New to this please forgive me if I sound a little thick

Have same problem with tdv6 starting when cold, had to sit with a few extra revs while screen cleared before engine would tick over, been to dealer to read fault codes but no codes shown, didn't seem to have heard of this before, best suggest was to change the fuel filter as I've only had the car for a few months and don't know full history, as anyone manage to solve, would appreciate if you could post

England 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Santorini Black

Hi
Not sure if this helps but it might so I will tell the story..!
Fair few years ago I had some work done to the RRS tdv6 (some belts changed) and the next day what you describe was happening. It would start and stall then you would have to crank and crank for it to start which it did (mostly just before a dead battery!) it would run fine and if I switched it off for an hour or so it would start fine until I left it overnight then it would struggle to start again after it had fired up and died.
I'm no mechanic so will try to explain in laymans terms what it was.
The garage who did the work on the car previously found the issue to be a valve which is under the black plastic engine cover at the back in the middle (looks like a car tyre valve) was leaking (fuel I was told). This valve I think is used for measuring pressure by mechanics etc but mine had developed a leak so loosing pressure overnight making it hard to start.
He replaced the valve (I think he used a tyre valve) and all has been good. I still have the car and all is good and it's been a few years.

When the mechanic took the plastic engine cover off he / I could see it was damp in the area of that valve. May be worth a peep to see if you can see dampness around that valve area or on the bottom of the engine cover.

Hope it's a simple as mine was to fix..

Hi thanks for that, will check it out, did suspect air getting into fuel line but most garages spoke to think it was the low pressure pump on its way out but not sure
