Amber suspension light

Hi . I have a 2005 RR sport 55 plate 75,000 miles.

I am getting a amber suspension warning light on the dash with a message saying "" suspension Fault. Normal ride Height only " The access height button is also disabled. If i switch ignition off and re start the problem clears but has today happened several times. 4 X 4 screen all okay and no sensors lights flashing red.

Any ideas ?

Many thanks

I sometimes have the same issue, after some research some people tend to suggest the battery starting to go?

I have the same - its intermittent when it comes on, can be after 1 minutes, 5 minutes, 20 minutes!

I had read about the battery causing error lights to come up - my suspension doesn't change in feel or height. I read also that is the battery is not an OEM Land Rover one, this can usually happen.

Whats a good price and recommendation on battery?

These messages also appear when the compressor itself is getting worn out. 60,000 miles seems to be the average for the life expectancy of the compressor.

This may sound odd but I had the same about 6 months ago, was told to try this... turn car on and off 3 times and hey prestoe no amber light and its not been on since. Thumbs Up TDV8 2007 window tints, side steps.

Thanks for all the replies. Compressor changed at approx 40,000 so hopefully not that , also recent battery change , but not a landrover oem. Embarassed

Will try the turning on and off three times and report back.

Cheers

I had the same and the garage diagnosed a compressor. It is being fitted next week, but they seem certain.

I had this fault, and it's cause was water in the connector to the rear lights on the drivers side, the rubber had come away so water could get in, I replaced the rubber and made it water tight and that has cleared the fault, apparently if the braking system senses any fault it will do this, including a blown brake light bulb

So, turned engine on and off three times, but to no avail! Its got warranty, so not overly concerned.

Amber light

I had the same light on my sport shortly after taking delivery, it would clear on engine start up but then come on again after 30 minutes or so. I had the 4 wheel alignment done (it need it due to tyre wear) which didn't clear it, i changed out the brake pedal switch, which didn't clear it. I then renewed the discs and pads all round as i knew they were worn, i found the front wear sensor contacts were worn/broken, after changing them out i have had no more amber light. Its bizarre how seemingly unrelated issues cause a suspension fault light!
