Oil leak and vibration

Hello all. After a bit of advice.
Got my MY11 3 weeks ago from our local main dealer, all seemed OK, but when cleaning it earlier I noticed some small oil patches on the drive, assume its oil anyway! Big Cry

Also there appears to be a bit of vibration through the steering wheel at about 70mph, mainly on the old concrete style roads such as A14 in Suffolk.

The stealers replaced all 4 tyres but it looks like the inner of the on-side front is wearing a bit. The stealer said don't worry about tyre wear on the edges, they're designed to do that.

Anyone head of that?

Tried ringing them today and they said service aren't in on a Sunday, ring LR Assistance.
Sounds a bit odd.

What should I ask them to check?
Thanks in anticipation of some sound advice Very Happy MY2011 TDV6 HSE Privacy Glass, Sunroof, TV, sidesteps, Hawke stainless tips - Now gone

Continental tyres do show wear at the shoulder because of the way the tread is designed. If the tyres aren't Continentals then I'd be asking why they think they're designed to wear that way.

Where is the oil coming from? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

They are continentals, so that seems to be correct then Thumbs Up

The oil seems to coming out of the hole in the undertray, although I've had a bit of hardboard under it for the last couple of hours and nothing seems to have dripped in that time, will check what happens overnight.

What could the vibration be?

Hi there, the oil is dripping in a couple of places.

I took it for a run earlier and when i took the filler cap off and the plastic guard there seems to be a bit of oil flying around under the guard, the foam is quite oily and there appears to be oil on some of the pipe work.

Best call the stealer and get them to take a look! Hopefully not a Stevie Wonder style look! MY2011 TDV6 HSE Privacy Glass, Sunroof, TV, sidesteps, Hawke stainless tips - Now gone

I can't really help much but I would make sure that they check the diffs. A bad rear diff can give you vibes at 60-70mph as can a front one with a problem. It doesn't sound from your description as if the oil and vibes are related but if they are then maybe be drive train and not engine related.

Get it checked very carefully, try to isolate both issues and get them fixed. Gone - 2008 Stornoway Grey RRS 2.7 TDV6
