If the sensor that you want to change is on the OUTSIDE edge of the front bumper, you can change it without removing the bumper.

If it's one of the two centre sensors, than the bumper has to come off. I keep telling myself 'It's a toy'
But I've broken quite a lot of toys in my time.....

just had the new sensors fitted. i thought i could get away with not taking the front bumber off, but i was wrong. had to take it all off. managed to change one sensor without taking the bumber off but had to take it off for the centre one.
while th bumber was off i found that there is corrossion on the back of the front fogs and that there was a wire that had rusted away on one of the sensors, had the sparky at the garage to check all other wires and fix the broken one.
all back on and working ok.
thanks for all the help and advice guys.

I just had the handbrake on turned the ignition to the on position and put it in to reverse. Then went around all the sensors listening to them.
I think I tried it with the engine running to, but it worked with just the ignition turnd to the on position.
If you have a stethoscope then this would amplifie the sounds but I didn't use one, the sparky had one think he was in to playing doctors and nurses.
Good luck RRS 07

I was told the front bumper has to come off as one of mine was faulty. So I had a look and could not get it out from getting my hand up behind. So since the sensor was faulty I hit it with a big centre punch and pushed it in then removed the other surround fished the broken sensor through the hole removed wiring and fitted new one job done only took about half hour to do.

My front left sensor is dead. So how do you change it without taking the bumper off? Is there a bolt inside the wheel well you need to loosen? I know it's faulty as the sound is not on it. So was tempted to just drill it out but a big punch might be even better. Great idea Smile
