There are also a lot of people with mercedes sprinter vans losing catalytic converters at the moment I am losing diesel to certain people because hgv tanks are so vulnerable £700 worth if full Big Cry Big Cry It is not easy for manufactures as we moan if something is difficult to remove when we need to replace it. We now all know this weakness and ought to act as most people do on alloy wheels( locking nut ). I understand Vadim anger and frustration as I have towards the peoples who stole my diesel public flogging, hands chopped off comes to mind. The problem I now see is how much damage will they do trying to get the lights if you make them secure!!

I have a very high tech DIY solution for you to consider chaps. Devised after an attempt on mine whilst in the Cambridge area for a few days.
Materials: blutack, 4 off 5 pence pieces and some tape. I prefer the metallic 'speed tape'.
The five pence is the ideal size for the screw hole. Ir covers the screw head thus preventing the screwdriver engaging. The blutack simply holds it there and the tape prevents the lot from coming lose.
I put a dab of blutack on the five pence and pushed it over the screw heads. Flushed it with more blutack and finished it with tape, mainly to conceal and prevent it coming out. It was intended as a temporary fix but I've left it in. It has shown signs of being tampered with once more.
I lied about the hi tech.
Hugh

I think the horse has long bolted on that one. I'd bet every petty criminal on the street knows a RRS flaws.
I'd be more concerned about what they are going to steal next.

I still liked it how it was...say it how it is...far too much political correctness these days.

Political correctness. Stops people saying what they really think Rolling Eyes

Same over on D3, a thread about the recent Don't Cap my Benefits TV show, or whatever it was. Only 1 person has the balls to stand up and post what he really thinks, for fear of being accused of being a racist etc

As for pike... I mean, the much disliked social group, you never see them driving round in old, clapped out Transit vans, do you...

Thanks to the government making it increasingly difficult to sell to scrap yards, the pikey-types have moved on to stuff they can sell on ebay. So instead of stealing metal (lead from roofs, copper from cables etc.) they steal car parts.

The Law of Unintended Consequences bites yet again...

Perhaps the government should make it a police priority to go after thieves, and give the courts some decent punishments to hand out. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

from urban dictionary:

Pikey is not a racial group, the term is used to describe anyone who lives in a caravan or shares the same values and "culture" of "the travelling community", and whose main sources of income are as follows:
