Hi Muddywheels, there is heaps of info on this on the Aulro forum in D3/D4/RRS sub section. You can either buy units called "pulsebuster" or fit some resistors in the trailer wiring circuit. Easy job apparently. The RRS is looking to see some resistance from the "normal" 21W globe which the computer then senses, and recognizes that a trailer is there. So with LED's, this resistance is not there. By adding the correct resistors this then provides the car with the correct resistance. Use the search on the Aulro re LED lights and you should find plenty. SWMBO owns this car I get to drive occasionally |

I would wait until you have the caravan. If the two outside brake lights are non-LED you will probably be OK as the car will sense the two normal bulbs and therefore have no issues. |

I think it's just that we tow things more regularly here, boats especially and a lot of boat trailers have been converted to LED's as they are sealed units. |

Same with my Lunar Delta Muddy - no issues! What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger!
