Just one thing before you disconnect it, let the vehicle 'go to sleep', by that, I mean wait for the red park brake light on instrument cluster to go out first. Thumbs Up RRS TDV8 Buck Blue (no, not now in my dreams). ..........D3 TDclankety clankV6 ............BMW 318i

I would take the key out, and close all doors etc,( except bonnet obviously), I know you may only be changing the battery, but all the time the key is in, doors open etc, and engine not running, the battery whilst connected, will be being drained by these. Which battery did you go for?
I'm looking at changing mine, but it seems there are so many makes/models out there I'm not sure which one to go for other than H8 90 amp/hr as per the handbook..... Question

I went for the bosh S4013 £89 on eBay. All seems ok and there are a few members on here that have used it. So I thought if there are happy I will be.

I was having starting problems at the start of the winter as the weather got colder and replaced the OE battery which still tested good for a Varta the same size - it's made a huge difference. Cost about £100 from a local motor factor - and they delivered it to me within 30 mins!

I've kept the old one and charged it - just in case it ever needs jump starting in the future!

Si
