Chains don't require replacement Thumbs Up 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

After the panicking my mechanic thinks the belt,has been changed at some point ! Not too fussed as I would rather be safe then sorry, he didn't do the fuel pump belt due to timing and a tool so it's booked I'n with a diesel specialist Smile main thing the cam is done £330 including auxiliary belt. Thumbs Up

FWIW, the rear belt is not timed, nor does it need any special tools...

^^^^ Medders - Disco_Mickey's right;

Modern electronic diesel systems only need a high-pressure pump not an "injection pump" - it makes me a little nervous that your mechanic doesn't know this and how to replace its belt.

While doing the dismantling not changing all the belts at the same time doesn't seem prudent and in my opinion is a missed opportunity.

Either didn't want to, or couldn't do the back belt, so made up an excuse Whistle
