Timed Climate & RPH

I've fitted all the bits, and had things activated but could do with a little advice from those who use the systems please...

Timed Climate;

This is now on my touch screen so that should all work fine, but what is the minimum ambient temperature at which it will work (manual refers to 'low' ambient temperatures)?

Remote Park Heating;

I've installed the receiver and antenna in the boot area, and understand that my dealer activated whatever they needed too (Timed Climate now shows). When I've tried to turn it on remotely, the LED on the remote just flashes red then goes out - suggesting that signal is not received. I paired the remote before any activation was done, should I do it again? Also, if its too warm would the RPH function simply not work? 2016 VW Golf GTD DSG

I have used my timed climate and it comes on but unless outside temp is very low (below about 5-7 deg) it just blows cold air Rolling Eyes

Hi Bomber, did you make sure they activated the timed climate(obviously did as you have the icon) and the remote option, there are 2 things that have to be activated. 1 for screen and 1 for remote? MY16 AUTOBIOGRAPHY Indus silver with some toys

Rigsby, what would the remote option be called within the cars on board system?
There does seem to be a bit of a language barrier when it comes to me asking them to activate 'remote park heating' to the dealer identifying the correct box to tick within the system.
The more black and white I can be, then the easier it will be to establish if they've done the right thing. 2016 VW Golf GTD DSG

Hi Bomber, do a search for a thread by rstebbings. The thread is called "timed climate - upgrade" and it has a picture of the settings on there. The feature that needs to be turned on within the timed climate screen is "call start" and this is the remote fob bit. Rigsby MY16 AUTOBIOGRAPHY Indus silver with some toys

Thanks Thumbs Up
The screen icon for timed climate appears to be different to mine (presumably because yours and rstebbings cars are the later SDV6 model), but hopefully 'call start' is the same within the configurator for my'11. I'll discuss with my indi.

Sounds like "call start" could be the equivalent. Worth giving it a try before you leave the indi Thumbs Up MY16 AUTOBIOGRAPHY Indus silver with some toys

There are three options on the drop down usually when enabling.
Off
Timed Climate
Timed Climate + Remote.

The language may change, but the third option carries more in it and as such should be easy to identify. Mike

muddywheels have you got remote park heating in your car now? Timed climate (already present in HSE Black) isn't of much use to me (irregular car usage pattern) but remotely firing it up on demand is much more practical.

I have ordered the parts but looks like no one on here has done it on the run-out model unless I have missed it. Wondering if it would be the same as MY12 cars that didn't have timed climate enabled as standard. Should be the same but great if someone can confirm. I should have asked the question before buying the parts Embarassed

You need to edit the CCF and the EUCD

CCF heating and Ventilation Park heater enabled.

EUCD --EUCD Heating and Ventilation Additional Heater: Fuel Fired Park Heater FFPH

EUCD--EUCD Heating and Ventilation--Call start of parking heater: Call start of Parking heater accessory only ( via radio only)

If you are using a remote blipper then change the last setting to that setting.

But remember to let the car go to sleep afterwards..

Thanks to flack for this Thumbs Up works perfectly on my car
