Hi guys, hope you can help. Last week i was driving along and there was a tapping noise that just started to occur from the engine. There was no warning fault/light what so ever? I pulled over and got it recovered to my home. i read up on a few forums and changed the injectors as thats what i thought it was. all six was changed. i then started it back up and the noise was still there?! But still no fault, not even on my diagnostic kit.

does anyone know what it could be? need help. many thanks.

its just cost me 2700 to build my own engine ,that was with the labour in and out,massive job mate,luckily i bought this sport knowing the fault and got it cheep,cranks going on these cars is quite a common problem,make sure you have the crank hardened /nitrided or it wont last 5 mins  silverRRS 2.7 TDV6 22"WHEELS FULL COLOUR CODE,STEPS,REMAP..gone

mine sounded identical mate,and everyone was saying tappets blah blah blah the noise from the knackered rod will be penetrating up the engine to make you think its at the top,the big end shells spin on these engines BLOCK THE OIL WAY causing major damage,you wont get any fault codes what you want to do is remove the sump and you will find lots of metal in there just to confirm,i hope for your sake i am wrong but i dont think i am  silverRRS 2.7 TDV6 22"WHEELS FULL COLOUR CODE,STEPS,REMAP..gone
