I could be very wrong here but...

A leaking exhaust manifold gasket can sound very metalic and often can fool the best.

i dont know where to start Big Cry . Iv been browsing the web and carnt find a used running engine for less than 3000. My father thinks its a piston. we had been running it when the injector was gone see, then we changed them all as we found one had gone. Sad

Garry a few questions if you got time. Would it be easier to completely remove the engine or leave it in and strip it?, if take it out would the gear box have to come out with it or leave it in? many thanks.

Hi mate you will have to remove it. A lot of people lift the shell off but we took the front end off the car then removed gearbox and pulled engine through the front. It's not an easy job mate. Get yourself a couple of bottles of tip ex and mark everything up. Oh and a big box of Stella might come in handy for when your standing scratching your head. Good luck Thumbs Up silverRRS 2.7 TDV6 22"WHEELS FULL COLOUR CODE,STEPS,REMAP..gone

Hi guys, iv bought a new engine to put in my RR SPORT but now im wondering what's the best way to remove the engine? iv currently stripped all the front off. iv been reading through here and people have removed the body from the chasis. is that the only way as i dont have an hoist/ to lift the body off? many thanks.

hiya pal,we removed it through the front but most people recommend shell off,it was a bit of a nightmare to get out,you have to remove driveshafts diff gearbox etc etc and after all that we cant get mine to run now ,we think we have fried the ecu with the boost pack, good luck mate Thumbs Up silverRRS 2.7 TDV6 22"WHEELS FULL COLOUR CODE,STEPS,REMAP..gone
