The whole front end needs stripped down. Sump and pick up pipe needs to come off. and it JUST comes out.

If you have access to a 2 post ramp, the engine can be on the floor in 5-6 hours, with a replacement taking 3 full days or so.

The first (and last) engine I replaced without removing the body took 6 days...
