Hi, I have a RRS TDV8 HSE 2007 in which I have my iPhone 4 connected to the rear AUX input. The cable is a 3.5mm which goes into AUX input and 3,5mm which goes in to the top of the iPhone. From what I have read this is the way to connect the iPhone to the car stereo and get itunes and Spotify out to the car speakers. Question why is it louder sound on the right side speakers (it still delivers sound on the left side though, but not far as loud as on the right side)? and yes, of course I have checked the balance settings in the head unit...

Has anyone ever worked this out as i have the same problem

Not had that problem but you generally get much louder and better quality sound if you connect the 'phone using a dock connector like this;

Cheap enough and may even fix the problem.

Plus one on the above- sound quality will be far far better and it will charge your iphone/pod too.

Well it definitely is on my car. I've tried both dock to jack and jack to jack and there is big difference. Apple designed the dock connector to be lineout for connection to amps and the headphone out for connection to er.. headphones. I think the dock out is not processed by the circuits designed to provide headphone output (for example the volume is not controlled by the iPhone's volume control which is more convenient). I can believe that the volume is higher, so I guess you need less volume on the car and so less distortion?

I too have the same cable which works perfectly. worth getting a usb>in car charger aswell for a few quid.
