Not had that problem but you generally get much louder and better quality sound if you connect the 'phone using a dock connector like this;

Plus one on the above- sound quality will be far far better and it will charge your iphone/pod too. |

Well it definitely is on my car. I've tried both dock to jack and jack to jack and there is big difference. Apple designed the dock connector to be lineout for connection to amps and the headphone out for connection to er.. headphones. I think the dock out is not processed by the circuits designed to provide headphone output (for example the volume is not controlled by the iPhone's volume control which is more convenient). No doubt somebody who can explain it in technical terms will be along soon 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

I can believe that the volume is higher, so I guess you need less volume on the car and so less distortion?

I too have the same cable which works perfectly. worth getting a usb>in car charger aswell for a few quid. |
