Spain 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Java Black

Stumbled on this 7 years since it was posted and you've made my day, thank you. When the back of the car rattles worse than a 12 year old ford fiesta (yes, I did have one once) it's just not funny.

Now just got to find some velcro, adhesive pads or something to stick on the latch.

Very annoying LR don't sort this out

worked a treat! Razz

it's exactly what I used - self-adhesive furniture protector. It wore down pretty fast though.

Thanks for that. I've got the thick slippy rubber ones. hopefully they will hold out but they're so cheap I don't think its going to be an issue

I've just stuck 4 small squares of felt to the latch and resting blocks and totally fixed my VERY rattly boot lid / tailgate. Silient as a mute mouse. How do I make a site donation?...Thanks all. This is an amazing site.

@Brian Mason
I hope you are still in this group Brian. You made this post in 2006. In 2024you've just saved yet another human being (that'll be me) from being sectioned, or jailed for something terrible. For a year I've been stressed, perplexed, annoyed, grumpy and very irritable because of the squeaking noise coming from 'somewhere in the rear' of my old RRS which I love so much (despite the cost of keeping it going) but in which for 9months or so the driving expereince has been ruined.
Thank you Brian, you're a star, helped by @VERY ANNOYED who posted your photos.
I'd dearly love to buy you both a beer, but hopefully you can settle for my genuine thanks for your expertise and generosity in sharing it ...

I know I am on the wrong forum as I have a RR autobiography. But cannot see any thing on the Velcro solution on there. Just concerned the lock won’t open with the strips- has anyone had a problem?
