How come we don't have a caravan section like the discovery forum??

Now don't go saying people who drive a rrs think they are better than a discovery owner !!!

Alko Hitch and RRS Detachable Towball

I tow a Swift Conqueror and before that a Bailey Pegasus with my detachable ball and absolutely no problem - that is what they are designed for.

The only thing to ensure is that the ball is dry and clean (never lubricated) as that will defeat the clamping friction pressure effect of the Alko. I always polish clean the tow ball with WD40 before use and ensure clean and dry before hitching up.

Next outing over Christmas & New Year with "T" Bone Steaks on the Barby!! Very Happy Baza G

We did my birthday between Xmas and new year 2010 in caravan Thumbs Up

Heating on gas was warm as toast but had to replace 2 cracked pumps due to small amounts of water in pipes when I put it in storage - now blow pipes out before storing and been ok since Rolling Eyes Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Swift Caravan Heating

RRS Daz - Truly excellent!

Mine is the 630 Conqueror twin axle 2012 MY with the Alde radiated system which is the best I have ever had in nearly 30 years of caravaning. So controllable and the heated towel rail is another bonus.

Have to say thus far it is the best and most comfortable van we have owned and we have had a few. Tows beautifully behind the RRS, again best tow car I have used.

Swift have now moved on, like so many manufacturers, to a dense plastic kind of construction as you may know. Baza G

If your car has a bit of age, just check the tow bar after 50 miles the first couple of times.... Mine used to come adrift slightly and once caravan disconnected, you could lift bar slightly and hear it click back into place Neutral
I towed a Lunar Delta RS with mine and a Bailey California before that Whistle 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈
Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱
Lots of other toys in the cupboard...😜
