Everything successfully fitted, rear cam and freeview box.

Camera kicks in when put into reverse as well as having the camera on at all times on one of the av outputs!

Must say has to be one of the best mods done would definitely recommend.

Glad you were able to install.

By the way, you do not need to waste a AV inputs for the camera. '08 RRS TDV8

Until I decide to put a DVD player and anything else to the av outputs the camera works a treat to have on all the time.

Yep, no problem, was just a suggestion, can have the camera always on without the extra output. '08 RRS TDV8

Hi all - sorry to hijack, but my RRS has the freeview built-in already, and also has multiple inputs in the rear and also the LR iPod cradle kit.

Would the LR camera just be a plug-and-play job? Or is there some substantial wiring to be configured?

Thanks in advance.

PS I have not taken the console apart yet to look at the wiring.

Hi Guys,

I am interested in having a freeview tuner and reversing camera fitted to my 07 RRS which is fitted with the rear entertainment system. Can anyone advise/recommend someone who can give me a price for this it would be most appreciated. I am based in the north east but could travel within reason if need be.

Many thanks

Hey Harry,
How easy was the GVIF to install? I'm a complete amateur with no wiring skills!

does the reverse camera kick in regardless of what screen you're in ? some have told me it kicks in only when in satnav screen. thanks Harry !

awdman said his comes on no matter what screen he is in, but it would be nice to have this verified by another member before i dive in and buy the unit. Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project.
DONE: Meduza front bumper, AB rear bumper, AB tailpipes, calipers repainted, rear upper tailgate upgrade, side steps, AB front grille, AB side vents, rear LED lights, clear side repeaters, integrated daytime running lights, LED headlights.
TO DO: color code sills and pillars.
