United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

Battery looks a little low but the charging figure looks about right. Might be a sign of a tired battery... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

hmmm funny you say that, i have also discovered the parking sensors do not work and reading up on old threads, i noticed mention of potential battery problems....

basically when i engage the reverse, rather than hear the "confirmation" tone that the sensors are engaged, i hear a long high pitched sound, followed by the parking button flashing amber on the dash. the sound is coming from the back rather than the front. i did the test which was recommended in couple of old threads whereby you switch the ignition to I/II, engage reverse and put your ear against each sensor. I cannot hear any sort of clicking sound whatsoever from any of the sensors!

If you get a continuos tone from rear once in reverse you have a faulty sensor or failed rear bumper loom. Not uncommon. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈
Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱
Lots of other toys in the cupboard...😜

Fronts should work independently as the sound for these comes from speaker under dash that gives indicator sound Laughing strange I know. Front looms also prone to rubbing through Big Cry 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀

Fault reading results from local landy specialist.
1 suspension control valve needs replacing as well as one of the rear sensors. They're going to draft the costs. How much worth of repair is that?

Active roll control module
C1B07-19
Directional control valve 2
Current circuit above threshold

Parking aid control module
B1B44-01 rear right outer sensor
General electric failure 07 TDV8 + BAS map

Hi Jack,

Did you resolve your issues with these repairs? How much did they cost? I've picked up a car second hand today with both of those faults (PDC and Suspension Lean) but seems to be related to battery power - i.e. if I take the car for a long run before restarting the engine it seems fine...

I'd appreciate any help/advice before I get it looked at.

Gary

Agreed. Use a LR battery too. The new ones they use are a tad pricey but at least you can then rule out the battery. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

hi Gary
sorry to hear of your troubles. my issues were not battery related. the PDC was a faulty sensor and the suspension issue required a valve replacement. These came at under £400 07 TDV8 + BAS map
