You can use it for that as well, yes. It's basically an A/V device with reverse camera function.

I'll stand by to be corrected, but I'm pretty sure the gvif still puts audio out via the aux input in the car.Mine does anyway maybe it's been updated?if you want iPhone music just get a Bluetooth receiver with a 3.5mm out,£20 off eBay will see it done. |

Mr Fixit, You are correct in that the sound is via AUX, but not via a cable showing to the Aux In, I wire it directly to the loom to minimise wires being visible.

Hi guys I am after a bit of help with gvif install all gone ok thanks to the rrs guide (thanks guys) problem is when using the override switch (primarily for eyeing up talent in car behind at traffic lights) the screen goes blank, if reverse is selected the picture appears, any help would be much appreciated.

Bodsy may correct me - but on mine you have to disconnect the cable from the unit and put it into another av connection on the GVIF unit - I did look at purchasing a splitter but never got round to it it's basically 1 or the other you can't have both - please please somebody tell me different 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

In my configuration you do not need a splitter and you do not use an extra AV input, only the reverse camera one.
