I was changing the puddle lights in the doors. All went well until the rear left door. As I pulled the lamp out of the door, the wire came loose and flicked back inside the door. I can just feel it with a finger in the aperture so I think I'll need to pull the door-card away at the bottom to be able to get the wire back through the aperture.

Alternatively there are 2 screws that once un-done will allow the whole card to be removed.

Popped out to the vehicle at lunchtime. Used a small knife to lever the bottom corners of the door-card away. 2 clips "popped" and I was able to push the wiring back through the aperture. The wire appears to be shorter on this door than the others for some reason. A gentle but firm push on the panel reconnected the clips and I've got a working light on that door again. Total time: 1 minute.

Good effort! That's your rear screen demister and puddle lights sorted. You'll be changing your diff/transfer box oils next Want to do a DIY job on your car? Check out the definitive 'how to' thread in the technical section
