Sounds like a sticky caliper to me. The stop start probably gives it the extra nudge to release the disc from the pads. Check your calipers aren't sticking first |

When my car was in for it's 1 yr service, I was told that 3 gearbox software updates had been applied to correct various issues (one being as you described).

Anyone that thinks there isn't constant design, manufacture and performance changes between model years is a fool...not to mention the many different things that are picked up in the real world!! Mike

Agreed Mike, my only gripe was that I had to chase on these via reporting the problem (different to the above) rather than them being told to me as they found cures/improved the workings. ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i
