If the Ecu detects a massive drain such as a shorted out alternator, it will shut down. Not uncommon. Need to be a bit more aggressive with it. Special tool No 7, also known as large hammer, and not your claw hammer from kitchen cupboard! 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀

Can't remember on V6 if there is front pulley sensor. Have a good look round areas you worked in to make sure all is plugged as should be.

If it locks and unlocks the car on normal key should still be sync'd. Not up to speed on keyless go systems but know its possible to confuse any key when reconnecting battery if in ignition 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
