Its a common problem on the 2006 model cars, a dealer will be about £130-£150 to fix, but your passanger door won't be too far behind going the same way which is more difficult to repair and more costly unless you have a good warranty You can lock the drivers door by way of pulling the door handle out on the outside of the car before you shut the door, at the same time as pushing the lock lever on the inside of the car then let go of the door handle and shut your door then press your remote as usual to lock the rest of the car then check to see if your drivers door has locked, it might take a few goes to master the technique |

Mick, if your car has got a warranty in place then it should be covered If not, then its a job any garage will do for you but better a garage who has done them before then they arn't running away with the hourly labour charge I think a dealer will charge around £120-130ish fitted. |

Quote from stealers £160 inc. £49 for the part and 1 hour labour. can only assume it's a 2 man job at some point otherwise that would be £110 an hour labour

No worries - just double check the part numbers as the guides are for the disco3. |
