I was wondering whether you can gleam anything by downloading from the "connection point" under the steering

If you think someone had accessed the vehicles OBD port then as suggested it would be pertinent to have all keys recoded.

Have you reported this to the Police? If they had suspicions about these guys they may Pay them a visit, if they had equipment at the car wash that was able to be connected to the OBD port then it would be pretty difficult for them to explain why a car wash required to do this. The evidence of the downloads would be available on the laptop and by the nature of the data, traceable back to individual vehicles!

You can get a reasonable amount of data from the ODB port - but things like the vin are avaliable anyway, so its difficult to say what they might have been doing, short of something with the alarm

Thanks all UPDATE: The dealer has done a "rolling code" update so any information that may have been sourced should be now out of date in terms of entry systems etc Another Pommie Bar Steward down under MY20 Defender 110 SE P400 Eiger/Ebony MY10 3.0 RRS TDv6 Fuji/Ebony/Anigre |
