My name is Ian, I am after buying a Sport and need advice from the people who know best
Basically I am after something 09-10 model in diesel but have heard rumours about both the TDV6 and the 8, V6 turbo issues and the body having to be removed!!! And a crank fault on the V8. Is there any truth to these or am I being told porkies?
Any info would be greatly appreciated as it will be a fair chunk of cash to buy one

Both the TDV6 and the TDV8 are great power plants

Post up your question in the general section and I'm sure the 3 main groups will comment (TDV6 boys, TDV8 boys and the Sc guys of course)  RRS gone

I bought a new RRS HSE TDV8 back in 2007. Sold it in 2009. Fantastic car and have regretted selling ever since. Traded it for a BMW 330d Touring which is also a great car but horrible in winter and I can't get all my gear into it. So, I've been thinking about another, second hand this time. Either a face lifted TDV8 or a 3ltr. I've test driven a new 3ltr and it was certainly nice, of course it was fitted with the new 8 speed. Anyone out there got any real life experience of going one to the other?

A BIG hello to all on the forum. I have owned a 55my RRS in grey and have posted a thread regarding Firenze Red as this is my new car colour. Have ordered this and should be with me by mid November. Hopefully would like to share some pictures and ideas on this forum in the future regarding all to do with RRS..

Just registered on this site for the first time and just introducing myself. I'm Simon and I own a 2007 RRS TDV8 called Bess ( as in Black Bess) she is fitted with General Grabber A/T's, Mantec front sheild and Raised Air Intake and we have just driven Strata Florida which raised a few eyebrows!!!! I'm an ex-Land Rover Experience Instructor now back driving trucks & helping at Off road centre when needed. Look forward to chatting with you all

I'm about to take the plunge and buy my first RRS, after owning many RR's over the years, some P38's (all DT/DSE models from 1995-97), two L322's (both 2003 TDV6 Vogue's one that i 2008 converted myself), now i am back in the market for a Rangie and would like a sport this time.

I have been reading many posts on here about the model i am interested in (TDV8 2007) and all i get is positive comments!, apart from a few issues that is just down to luck i guess lol.

I am going to post up in the general section as i do have a few questions for a first time buyer, that i could'nt find using the search in posts, so looking forward to a few chats and hopefully sharing my new ride with you guys! (& girls?!).

For Dreammachine - you can get LR mats in carpet or rubber from these guys.

It is really really important that you DO NOT USE pre 2010MY mats in a 2010MY onwards as the older mats stop the pedals from operating properly!  2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
