issue with intermittent heavy steering

Hello all.
Just notices the other day, the steering. Kept becoming heavy, but not a complete failure way but like how steering gets heavier with speed.
Also the power on the steering seemed to have a slight delay. so i am thinking an issue with a sensor somewhere. Steering angle etc ???
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Personally I'd look for a slipping steering pump belt... but I'm not sure a RRs has one..

Hello , its definitely not a slipping belt, it feels more electrical as though there is a faulty sensor, and it has not sensed the movement of the steering wheel. And it also does not really feel to be a uj as other can be perfectly ok at times then suddenly play up. I think the sc has speed dependant steering. So could be a sensor?

I assume you've checked the power steering fluid level?

If you open the hood and, with the engine running, turn the steering wheel from loct to lock quickly does it turn smoothly and quietly?

If the belts squeal that's the issue/

If you smell rubber after a few attempts you have a sticking pump

If neither of above you may have a steering rack which is faulty or even slightly bent!
