There is a load of information on this subject over on the D3 site. Supposedly sealed for life, but lots of reports of gearbox shudder under load. I assume the same box is fitted to the RRS 2.7, but I'm a new RRS owner.

Gearbox oil is recommended at 150k/10 years, but well worthwhile replacing at 75k. Also consider erplacing the sump/filter assy at the same time.

LR are always a good source of duff information " .....I was told from LR was good as a lot of oil stays in transfer box ". |

The old sump does not need to be broken to be removed. The transfer box needs raised, and the O/S engine mount needs unbolted and the engine raised up, but it does come out

The Britpart kit uses a Genuine LR sump pan, and ZF Lifeguard 6 fluid.
