United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

Just had my gearbox oil changed at 85k. Been having bother with a shuddering under load for a few months. Useless dealer told me to change a load of suspension parts but thankfully I took it to a LR specialist who said it needed a double flush to make sure all the old stuff came out of the torque convertor etc....cost about £350 to do the job. Well pleased with it.

United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

Well been a bit of a delay but I had a trip up to Brit Part in Stevenage today and bought one of these kits: http://britishparts.co.uk/products/10834-t...R007474KIT

Further up this thread Disco-Mikey recommended the LR filter kit from Brit Part. Is this the one?
I'm a bit concerned that the sump part appears to be plastic not metal and the 7 litres of oil supplied is not ZF lifeguard but is made by febi Bilstein - part of the Bilstein Group (a reputable brand) and states on the label that it the applications include Land Rover TYK500050.

Should I use it or take it back or use it but ask Brit Part to swop the oil for ZF Lifeguard?

I'm keen to do this job as the occasional odd shift is still occurring although not particularly violent. Usually seems to happen at about 65-70 on light throttle or at very low speed when moving off. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 S Java Black

The genuine landrover sump/filter assembly is plastic so probably ok, agreed febi bilstein is a very good name etc. but quite likely bought in and rebranded, I done a bit of digging around before I done my RRS and the only oil I found that got close to the spec of zf oil is a ravonoil, so I gave up and used landrover oil, 10 ltrs. @ £24.00 ltr. gulp!!, there is zf lifegaurd for sale on ebay for similar money, the landrover oil cured my gearbox drama's. Hope this helps
