OK so to clarify,

2005-6 - no powerfold at all
2006-10 - powerfold by pushing knob down
2010 onward - automatic powerfold when doors are locked

I suspect that the 2010 is via CANbus so not easy to do on earlier models.

When I get time I will spend some money on Topix to get the pre 2010 circuits.

Many thanks everyone.

Yup, my first edition (2005) has powerfold, but not tied into the central locking.

OK

I was just taking the previous posts for information.

Up to 2010 - Powerfold by pressing knob
After 2010 - Powerfold can be linked to locking.

It make take me a while to investigate but I will let you know.

Hi,

Not sure of the earlier cars but I think the "fold on locking" may be tied into "keyless entry".

My dealer told me when i picked up my MY10 TDV8 that "her "ears" are folded in if she's locked". It makes sense as there is no other obvious indication !!!

This is correct.

And post-2010 is not related to keyless enter.

Also, pre-2010 cannot be enabled via computer/dealer

I can't believe that for the last 3 years of ownership I thought power fold mirrors was an option, and my 2006 North American Spec SC didn't have it.... Embarassed

After reading this topic, I spoke to my mechanic who's doing the paintwork and other stuff. Asked him to check. He said he already had and the switch is bust and has been ordered. He also said if you have a "wing mirror" graphic on the mirrorswitch with 'tick' or 'árrow' on it, it means it's got power fold mirrors Shocked

I told him I saw that, but, thought it was idiots like me to make it crystal clear that this is the mirror adjust switch...

Now suitably embarrassed... but will get power fold mirrors next week Smile

Lesson learned...RTFM Exclamation

To the OP, MrFrog and others thanks for bringing to my attention that a do have power fold and my switch is just knackered Razz

Cheers

Did you ever find a way to make them auto fold on locking/unlocking?
