I now have a diagram but have not had time to do this especially as it is SWMBO car and she is not keen on me pulling the door card off!

My idea was simply to use a diode to connect the lock motor + to the mirror fold motor but I have not checked if unlocking or unfolding will be unaffected. It might need a bit more logic (relay + diodes) so other functions are unaffected.

So after fitting D4.5 mirrors to my 2007 sport s model about a year and a half ago I’ve finally got round / figgerd out how to getting them fully working to there full potential you could say.

My car never had Powerfold mirrors to start with but after looking through this form and the d3 ones all I needed was the Powerfold relay and a new switch with the little arrow on it really as my car had the wiring and relay holder surprisingly, but what I really wanted was for the mirrors to fold in when locking the car like my D5 dose
So after spending far to much time reading lots of forums and posts asking the exact question but with not too much answers out there I started with getting the glass moving properly , added the extra wire in the mirror. Got glass working fine and Powerfold by pushing the button working too
Them to cut a long story short using a 4 pin relay connected one wire to the live door lock then connected the two other pins together then connected to a bolt in the door to make it a “ ground / nevitive output relay “ or something like that instead of it outputting power it connects the last pin to ground , them wired to the constant live Powerfold wire at the back of the mirror switch ,
so basically you need to send a ground signal down the wire back to the Powerfold relay just a signal wire really

And now my mirrors fold in and out perfectly when locking and unlocking now ! Very happy Very Happy
Hope this helps anyone else that is wondering if it’s possible ! 2017-Discovery 5 TDV6 HSE
