See if the novel helps you first. I have no experience of the 2.7 TDV6, but many have commented on here that it's worthwhile. ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

A remap on the 2.7 V6 is a must, you will have a smile on your face everytime you drive it, it becomes a totally different motor, i had mine done from bell autos, site sponsor, miles of smiles |

I have the chance of buying a 'Chip Express' tuning box. Simply plug and play claiming increased performance and reduced fuel consumption for a 2.7.

Personally, I'd only ever consider an ECU remap, as these boxes just generally fool the engine into supplying different fuel levels without any regard for the engines limits etc. Given that the RRS isn't the most reliable car out there I'd want to make sure any upgrades were carried out for my car, not just a generic box plugged in. Most ecu remaps are generic anyway, It's only when you start live mapping that's It's tailored to your exact car.
