Newbie with a couple of daft ish questions...

Q1,,, when i engage reverse the parking sensors activate and the switch on the dash for the front ones illuminates im assuming it should, but when i go forward the switch stays illuminated till i turn it off its flashing on and off is that normal ????

Q2,,, O.s.r rear door opens everytime with cetral locking but wont lock so im havong to do it manual its a balls ache, Big Cry i know ive a fault but whats the likely cause..

Q1 - the first part is correct, (although I believe the switch on the dash is for both front and rear).

Im not sur about the flashing part, but it should turn off once you increase you speed going forward, approx 15mph. If it doesn't do this and you are having to do it manually, I'd say you have a fault there. Confused

if you are having to turn the parking sensors off manually, then the front wireing harness will need to be replaced as it has frayed, and water is ingressing, causeing a malfunction, its about £45 for the harness and around 3 hours labour 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater Smile)))

Bloody hell another bloody job this things getting on my tits this range rover..

owned it 6 weeks

alternator and battery
rear boot release handle
rear pads and discs
handbrake motor and cable today £596 job
needs a wheel on cos its buckled
fitted 2 tyres
door locking latch as well

sill needs a service
jesus christ im going bankrupt slowly here Big Cry Live life to the full its the only one your getting.

only slowly? if you're driving it at all with fuel at current prices then it's a fast road to poverty. and then add on the repairs due to RR (un)reliability..
